  1. Press Release and letter to Committee Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture Sport and the Gaeltacht and the Public Accounts committee members

We have sent out a press release from the RTÉSA committee on 11/7/23 –

We also sent a letter to members of the Committee Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture Sport and the Gaeltacht and the Public Accounts Committee, copied to the Director General and the Chair of the RTE board. –

  1. Pension increase request

As you are aware, the Trustees made a pension increase request for 2.5% backdated to Jan ’22 to the Government – but this has not yet been signed off. We have contacted the Minister Paschal Donohoe’s office about this. http://www.rtersa.ie/uncategorized/letter-to-paschal-donohue-re-pension-increase-delay/
(NB -correction to letter, Para 1 – the submission for the pension increase by the RTÉ Superannuation Scheme (RTÉSA) was made in September 2022, not April 2022. The actuarial report that recommended the increase was submitted to the government in April 2022).

We received a reply on 23/06/23 –

We then wrote to Minister Catherine Martin on 4/7/23 asking her to expedite the request –

Reminder!! – AGM 2023 – September 26th– The Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan @ 12 noon.
